- What is custom orthotics?
A custom orthotic is a medical device that changes the shape and timing of your feet while standing and while you’re in motion.
- How will you fit my custom orthotics?
We do a 30 minute physical assessment including joint muscle testing, foam-casting of your feet, and several Gait Scans to evaluate the motion of your feet and body, and all information is sent to the laboratory where we develop the custom product for you based on your needs.
- Who needs custom orthotics?
Everyone can benefit from a custom orthotics but those with more difficult foot issues will experience the most benefits.
- Do I wear my custom orthotics all the time?
Yes, custom orthotics work when you’re wearing them, and are recommended to be worn when your standing and walking.
- Do custom orthotics feel uncomfortable?
No, they make your feet feel good. If your feet are uncomfortable when wearing them, they need to be adjusted which is free of charge.
- What kind of shoe do I need for my custom orthotics?
A running shoe is always best but a custom foot orthotic can be made to accommodate most types of footwear.
- Do muscles get weak wearing custom orthotics?
No, strength is based on movement and when the foot orthotics are being warn they allow you to move without pain and gives you more mobility.
